When an issue is detected, The Boring Toolbox provides an alert, a description of the problem and an image history. Your team can compare the affected view with its reference, assess what has changed and decide what action to take.
Checks run on a schedule, with daytime and night-time assessments to account for different lighting conditions. Standard cameras are checked weekly during both periods. Cameras marked as critical receive both checks daily, giving priority views more frequent attention.
Setup begins with enabling the feature and choosing the check times. The first run captures the reference images, which can be refreshed when an intended change to the camera view occurs. The feature requires Boring Users IAM to be enabled.
